A successful 2009 ATCA Conference - 08.07.2009
The ATCA 'New Beginnings' Conference was held at the Novotel Canberra on 17 & 18 June 2009. The conference program was a great mix of presentations and general discussion which was important given all the national changes. Congratulations to Bettina Clark on winning the Elizabeth Yeo Award for her presentation on 'Hepatitis C Transmission from Drug Snorting - An Underestimated Risk?" Congratulations must also go to Queensland for organising an enjoyable and informative conference in such a short time frame. The 2010 ATCA Conference will again be held in Canberra at a date TBA.

The ATCA/TNA Conference will be held on 08/08/08, just prior to the XXII International Congress of the Transplantation Society in Sydney, Australia from 10-14 August 2008. The day will include presentations from international and national speakers on topics including: Bridging the gap between clinical practice and publication, the Hep C donor, Tissue Typing update, commmunity attitude research, outcomes of the National Organ Donation Collaborative & electronic donor referrals. In addition ATCA and TNA will hold their annual general meetings on this day.

About The Program
The 2007 Organ Donation Congress, a joint meeting between the International Society of Organ Donation and Procurement (ISODP) and the International Transplant Coordinators Society (ITCS) congresses, will include a variety of educational formats that will encourage the exchange of new scientific and clinical information. This meeting will support an interchange of models of improvement and opinions regarding care and management issues, as well as socioeconomic, ethical, and
