About ATCA

Australasian Transplant Coordinators Association (ATCA) is a not for profit membership-based organisation representing all staff in the Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplantation sector internationally.

ATCA promotes communication and collaboration amongst organ and tissue donor and transplant professionals in Australia and New Zealand. ATCA supports research, development and education in the field of organ and tissue donation and transplantation, as well as discussion of professional and ethical issues.

ATCA collaborates with regional and international associations or societies interested in organ donation, transplantation and other related subjects. ATCA represents the view of its members to industry, government, the media and the community. It has strong professional relationships with other national peak bodies and government agencies and individuals.

ATCA is an information source where, in partnership with Australian Organ & Tissue Authority (AOTA) and the Transplantation Society of Australia and New Zealand Surgeons (TSANZ) we provide guidelines for the organ donation process regarding procurement, rotations, certifications and liaison with other relevant bodies. Our relationships extend to Transplant Nurses Association (TNA), The North America Transplant Coordinators Organisation (NATCO) and others in the healthcare industry.
